UPDATE ON SCIENCE WING REFURBISHMENT

As the photo indicates, we have made substantial progress on the science wing refurbishment at Highbury SC. The joinery is now close to 85% complete. The photo shows one of the six science prac rooms which the students will soon be able to utilise. Included in the refurbishment is a staff room, breakout area, prep rooms, theory room and storage. Within the next week, the remainder of floor coverings will be installed followed closely by the cleaners for the final touches. There will be more photos coming soon!

Loyola College Refurbishment

Works have only just commenced at one of our exciting new projects at Loyola College Watsonia. The refurbishment project is concentrated on the old convent building and we will be converting a number of new classrooms to the ground floor while upstairs we will be creating new staff lounge, kitchen and amenities. Although this is not one of our bigger projects, it still has its challenges due to the age of the convent building. We are looking forward to transforming these spaces into something special! More photos to come as we progress.

Bespoke Commercial Builders – Wheelers Hill SC

Renew class themselves as bespoke commercial builders and this project fits the bill perfectly. One of our current projects, Wheelers Hill SC Gymnasium is well underway with rough-in close to completion in the existing building. The external shell of the proposed basketball court will have external cladding attached which should transform structure. The facility will provide a much needed update for the students and the school community as a whole. Stay tuned for further photos as we progress!

STEM BUILDING PROGRESS – FRANKSTON HIGH

Refurbishment works are progressing well on the new STEM Building at Frankston High School. The new internal walls now being erected. We will be uncovering the existing tongue and groove timber flooring and therefore sand these back to their former glory. The majority of the new external openings have now been opened up, and we are installing the custom windows. This is going to create a huge difference in the amount of natural light entering the building. This is going to be an outstanding result for the Frankston HS students and community!

BESPOKE COMMERCIAL BUILDERS – PHOTO SHOOT

With works now coming to an end at the Glen Waverley Primary School Sports Hall, it was a perfect time to get Jack Lovel in to take final shots of the new build. It was a perfect winters day for the shoot, hardly a cloud in the sky. The architecture of this building leant itself perfectly towards a twilight shoot based on the translucent polycarbonate external cladding which allows fantastic light transfer into the gymnasium during the day as well as a glow at night time from the internal lights. The team at Renew are super proud to be handing this facility over to the Glen Waverley Primary School community as it will provide a great new space that the children have been desperately missing!

BESPOKE COMMERCIAL BUILDERS ON SITE AT WHEELERS HILL SC

As a bespoke commercial builder we are wrapped to be on site and underway at the Wheelers Hill Secondary College. With design works by Taylor Oppenheim Architects, the project comprises of a new Gymnasium and teared Drama Auditorium building including prac and student change rooms. We will also be carrying out refurbishment works to the schools VCE Centre which will incorporate a new student lounge, kitchen, seminar and staff rooms. Needless to say that we are looking forward to constructing the project and building strong relationships with the schools management. Stay tuned for further shots!

GYMNASIUM CONSTRUCTION – GLEN WAVERLEY HIGH SCHOOL

The Gymnasium construction at Glen Waverley High School is getting closer and closer to completion now. With design works by DWP Suters, the photo shows progress of the floor sanding in preparation of the court markings. We cant even begin to imagine how mundane sanding such an immense area of floorboards could be! If the current progress is anything to go by then the finished product will be amazing. Happy Architects and a happy principal, what more can we ask for!

FRANKSTON HIGH SCHOOL – PREMIUM COMMERCIAL BUILDERS

At the end of 2017, Renew was awarded the contract for works to Frankston High School. With documentation by Baade Harbour Architects, the works consisted of 3 stages – STEMM Building, Sports Complex and Performing Arts Centre. Currently, we are working on the STEMM Building which previously housed the schools performing arts. Not only will this building house science, technology, engineering, mathematics and medicine but we will be installing flight simulators as well! The photo shows the extent of steel work and carpentry framing in the space.

COMMERCIAL BUILDERS – GLEN WAVERLEY HIGH SCHOOL GYMNASIUM

As commercial builders, we love to see our projects taking shape and this project is definitely doing that. With design works by DWP Suters, works are well underway and moving closer to cladding the Gymnasium at Glen Waverley High School. It can sometimes prove challenging when you are constructing a new building within school grounds that are in use. In the case of this project we have to re-route traffic temporarily for drop off and pick up. We are looking forward to seeing the project progress over the next few months. Stay tuned for more photos!
